Profile

Chris  qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Arthur Andersen  in 2000 specialising in corporate restructurings before moving to Ernst & Young in 2002.

In 2005 he spent a year at  the Royal Bank of Scotland on secondment to their  Structured  Finance Division in Leeds, UK. At the latter stages of this secondment his inspirational  boss at Ernst & Young  persuaded him to take a big career risk and  join him in forming a start up   private equity firm called Endless in 2006.

Chris took the lead roles of marketing, HR,  recruitment and  leading investment in the North East of England  for this new venture. Subsequently Endless became the leading restructuring fund in the UK.  In 2012 Chris then   embarked on creating a pioneering sister private equity fund named Enact focussing on SMEs  funded by High Net Worth Individuals under the Enterprise Investment Scheme.

Chris steered  Enact  from  concept to a stand out investment fund over an unprecedented 3 year period. To this day Enact remains  the highest performing fund in Endless history.

In the latter stages of 2015 Chris took the decision to go it alone and pursue new ventures in the form of Obelisk 16 Ltd and Pyramidion Ltd.

Chris has  grown  OBELISK 16 into  a niche strategic partner for private equity, family offices and  corporate clients and would be the primary contact for your relationship with Obelisk 16.

He also currently  serves as Chairman on three PE portfolio boards in the UK, a governor of a primary school in the UK,  as well as acting as the UK Head  of   the hugely successful  Pan European Investment House Nimbus. 

Oh and by the way, in 2010, he was crowned  Yorkshire Champion singer and entertainer in the business charity Y Factor awards  in aid of Mencap .
